Individual Counseling for Relationship Struggles…

Relationships can be the best part of our lives. They can also be the most painful.

Maybe you love someone, but you're not happy. You keep having the same problems, you're losing yourself trying to make things work, or you're wondering whether to stay or leave. Maybe trust has been broken. Or maybe the relationship has ended, and you're struggling to move on.

You may simply know: I don't want my relationships to keep feeling this way.

You can work on a relationship even if you're the only one in the room.

You don't need to be in couples counseling to get help with your relationship. Sometimes you need a place that's entirely yours, where you can talk honestly about what's happening, sort out what you feel and want, and look at your own patterns without taking responsibility for someone else's behavior.

We'll look at what's working, what's hurting, what keeps happening, and what is actually within your control to change.

Sometimes the hardest part is not knowing what to do.

You can love someone and still wonder whether you should be with them. You can know a relationship isn't working and still be terrified to leave. You can miss someone who wasn't good for you.

I'm not going to hand you a verdict about your life. I'll help you understand what's happening and get clear enough to make your own decisions.

When trust has been broken

An affair, addiction, secrecy, or another betrayal can turn your understanding of a relationship upside down. You may find yourself questioning what was real, replaying what happened, and wondering whether you'll ever feel safe again.

You don't have to decide immediately whether to forgive, stay, leave, or trust again. First, we take care of what's happening to you.

Your patterns matter, but everything isn't your fault.

Maybe you need stronger boundaries, have trouble asking for what you need, avoid conflict, or stay because you're afraid to be alone. We'll look honestly at what belongs to you, but therapy isn't about finding a way to blame yourself for someone else's behavior.

The goal is to give you more choices about what happens next.

If you're hurting in a relationship, recovering from one, or tired of repeating the same patterns, come talk to me.

We'll start with the relationship that's hurting now and work from there.

My background in couples and relationship therapy gives me a wider lens for individual work: we’ll explore not only what you feel, but what happens between you and the people who matter most. I offer relationship counseling for individuals in Colorado Springs who want to change recurring patterns, recover from betrayal, or make a difficult decision about a relationship.
